Dear HGA Teachers,

We the newspaper staff would like to inform you that we are looking for pieces of creative writing from every class in the school. Two pieces of writing will be needed from each grade K-12. We in the group will be publishing the writing in the next edition of the online newspaper.   The plan is to feature different students’ writings for each edition of the newspaper, eventually leading to new editions and new writing every month.

You can either take examples of students’ writing from your class assignments and projects, or you could spend some extra class time to have your students purposefully write for the newspaper.  We are looking for poems, short stories, etc.  

It is completely up to you to decide which students’ work will be chosen for each edition of the newspaper.  You may want to have the students vote or choose the work yourself.  When you have decided, please submit the writing to Mrs. Pulley in room 204, preferably in digital form, though handwritten pieces may also be submitted. 

Remember, this is completely voluntary.  We just want to recognize the unique creative writing of all the different students of the school.  If you are interested and decide to participate, we would be truly grateful.
