Halo 3 Review
By: Demetrius Masuca

On September 24, 2007 people waited in line until midnight to get their hands on Halo 3, the final installment of the Halo trilogy. Microsoft is hoping to sell more copies of Halo 3 than the first Halo, which was released in 2001 and sold 4.5 million copies and Halo 2, which was released in 2004 and sold 5.9 million copies.
There has been a lot of hype going around for Halo 3, like drinks, action figures and the limited edition X Box 360 console. So, does this game live up to its hype? Yes. They have pushed the bar with Halo 3 with its amazing new features, high quality graphics and stunning visuals.
There has been a new title, “Forge,” which allows players to edit maps and use them against other people in split screen and via X Box Live. Not also gives you the option to allow your friends to download them so they can have a couple of your downloaded maps. You can have three of your friends edit a map.
Another new feature is the ability to save and record a match in split screen on X Box Live. You can use slow motion, rewind, and fast-forward or take a snap shot. What is really amazing is that recording is automatic; even in the story you can watch what you did to others. In Halo 3 they brought back all the old weapons along with new weapons, and also they have new vehicle.
Rating: The Story: 9 Because the story is short. Graphics: 9 for its next-gen graphics Sound: 10 It has a 5.1 surround sound. New Features: 10 The Edit maps and the replay is a must have. Worthwhile Buy: 10 Because you will play this game over and over again. The Bad: The story could have been longer and pop-ups occur too often through out the campaign.

Despite Delays, School Store Still in the Works
By: Rukiya Ahmed
High Life Store (HLS) will be offering school shirts. The students that are working on the store said they are ambivalent about most details. They will be selling things like long-sleeved, loose-neck, and short-sleeved shirts in all sizes. What goes on the shirts is up to the customers. They also offer a variety of colors.
“It’s up to the customers to put whatever they want on their shirts,” Amun Said said. Customizing your shirts can mean many things. You can add words, phrases, or even pictures of friends or TV characters. You basically are allowed to put anything you want on the shirts except profanity, drug/alcohol references, or sexual comments and/or pictures.
The store is unsure about having the school mascot and logo. They said that they will know whether they are going to have it or not before the store is open in the early spring of 2008.
Some of the many students and staff who could benefit from the school store.
The shipping for these shirts will take up to two business days. The store will be online; there is some uncertainty about the store being on campus. The store wants not only students and teachers buying stuff, but they want the whole community to be part of it in this wonderful event. The store has their hands wide open to all customers, so come and get your fashion on.
Kanye West’s: Graduation
By: Demetrius Masuca
It has been two years since Kanye West dropped an album. So what is there to expect from his latest album?
The cover of Kanye West's newest album.
Kanye West’s third album, Graduation, was released on Sept. 11, 2007, the same day as rapper 50 Cent dropped his third album, Curtis. People eagerly waited for the day Kanye released his album. Was it worth the wait and the $13.99 price tag (Target)?
For Graduation Kanye teamed up with Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Mos Def and more. The album is less than an hour long and features 13 tracks.
The thing that’s good about this album is that there are no skits, as found on previous albums. One surprising track entitled “Big Brother” explains his relationship with president and C.E.O of Def-Jam, Jay-Z. The bad thing is that Kanye could have delivered more tracks.
It’s a creative album and probably his best work to date, but he could have made the album longer.
Overall Rating: 8/10
