Higher Ground Academy offers its students the opportunity to participate in a year-round schooling through the Academy’s Progressive Learning Year Program. This program allows students to progress and work ahead in their grade level with a long-range goal of achieving early graduation from high school.  Higher Ground Academy's overall goal is to raise a student's academic achievement level by the equivalent of 1.5 grade levels each school year. By a student enrolling in the Learning Year Program, he/she can significantly increase the opportunity of reaching this goal.

The Academy’s progressive Learning Year Program is ideal for students who are goal oriented and self-starters. Students are able to enroll in a 5-week summer session and continue by participating in project based learning during the regular academic year.
