Board of Directors Meeting
September 16, 2009

The meeting was called to order by Rich Rolle at 4:41
p.m..
2.
Bill Wilson explained his current health status after
his recent medical leave and announced his return to work.
3.
Dr. Yigsaw gave an overview of the construction
process. Everything is on schedule. The work on the
current building is complete with remaining details being
worked out.
4.
Brenda Hes explained the budget revision process. The
completion of the revision is pending the completion of the
beginning of the year enrollment fluctuation. A current
conservative number is 670. It is estimated that the
enrollment will be settled early in October. The audit is
scheduled for the next weeks. The end of the year reports
and the budget revision will be ready for an October board
meeting. There was discussion about the fund balance and
line of credit. A line of credit will be established but is
not needed because of the size of the fund balance.
5.
Bill Wilson explained the hiring and termination
process for Higher Ground Academy. Any staff member may
appeal a termination to the board. The executive director is
responsible for the hiring of new staff.
6.
The next meeting of the board will be October 28 at
4:30 p.m.
7.
It was moved, seconded, and passed to adjourn the
meeting.
